For guests intending to stay at Gold Coast Aruba residential resort
Is there public transportation close to the resort? / Do you recommend renting a car?
Even though taxis are available at the resort or within 10-minutes of your call, this residential resort area is very large so a walk through the resort can take you quite some time, but also is very secluded. Thus we highly recommend renting a car when staying at Gold Coast Aruba. And if you wish to explore the rest of the island (beautiful sites!) or visit the more remote but exquisite restaurants and landmarks, even more so! We will be happy to assist you with your rental car reservation.
Where can I rent a car?/ Can you rent a car for me?
We have a special arrangement with several local car rental companies for our guests. If you have a booking with us, and would also like to rent a car or 4×4, just let us know in advance (by phone or via e-mail) and we can send a rate list so that you can make your choice, we will make all arrangements and confirm via e-mail. You must however inform us of your arrival flight data or in lieu thereof, call them as soon as you arrive on the island to pick you up. Your condo reservation with us will secure your car rental reservation, and further car rental payment arrangements will take place directly with the rental company after arrival. Parking is free of charge at the resort!
Can you provide airport transportation?
If you’re not renting a car, we can have an associated taxi driver waiting for you when you arrive, to take you to the resort. Regulatory taxi fares are applicable; there is no extra charge for this service. This will only avoid you from waiting in queue for a taxi cab (maximum 5 passengers per cab), but there are ample taxi cabs available at the airport’s arrival hall. The fare includes 1 large luggage piece per passenger; hand luggage is not counted. Large luggage pieces in excess are charged at about $2 each.
How close is Gold Coast Aruba to the beach?
The resort is located about two minutes drive from Boca Catalina Beach. You can walk to the same beach in about 20 minutes from this residential resort. There are several other exquisite beaches very close, too (e.g. Malmok Beach, Arashi Beach)! Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are only about a 10-minute drive away.
Are there palapas on the beach?
There are straw cabanas and palapas on most named beaches, for public use on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Is there beach and/or lounge chairs available on the beach?
There are beach and lounge chairs at all three swimming pool areas for free use by all guests and owners. Some units are provided with beach chairs that you can take to the beaches with your rental car; please inquire if your selected accommodation provides these.
Are there beach towels available?
All our units have sufficient beach towels in accordance with the maximum sleeping capacity of that unit.
Are there BBQ grills available for common use?
Each unit is individually owned, thus provides for its own BBQ grill where possible. If not specifically mentioned in the unit’s description, please inquire if your selected accommodation provides these. Two of the swimming pool areas have an outdoor kitchen with a large BBQ grill, reservation, and a cleaning fee is applicable for use of the BBQ grill. Reservations must be made at the front desk in the clubhouse of Gold Coast.
Can you recommend any restaurants?
Sure we can! At the clubhouse of this residential resort, there is a very good restaurant. If you prefer to dine outside the premises, just ask us to send you our “Favorite and Recommended Restaurant List”, and we can even make the reservations for you as well; this is a free service for our guests!
Are there Supermarkets / Grocery stores close to the resort?
There are several minimarkets and supermarkets along the road at the resort’s entry/exit; to the right, as you exit at the security gate. The larger supermarkets are located about 15 minutes drive away.
How does your grocery service work?
Our grocery service is executed based on a shopping list of required groceries, to be provided by you. The provided list will be purchased on the day of your arrival (a day prior to arrival if arrival day is a holiday) and appropriately stored in your unit prior to your estimated check-in time. A 15% service charge, with a minimum of US$10, is applicable on your actual grocery bill, and your grocery payment takes place cash at check-in. Please send us your grocery list at your earliest convenience if you would like to make use of this service, or at least a few days prior to arrival.
Do I have as a guest special rates to play golf?
Unless you’re a member of the golf club at Tierra del Sol, all guests pay the standard rates for playing golf. Please inquire with us for the latest rate list.
Is there hot water in the units?
All our units in this upscale residential resort of course have a hot water facility.
Is there daily maid service?
Your unit will be cleaned prior to and after your stay. For guests who are staying longer than one week, we recommend requesting a weekly full cleaning service at an extra charge. If additional cleaning is desired we will be happy to arrange that for you at a relatively low additional cost.
Is there a hairdryer in the unit?
All our units have at least one hairdryer; some units may have more, for example, one in each bathroom.
Can I arrive or leave any day of the week?
Our dates are fully flexible, so you may arrive or depart on any day of the week, and your length of stay can be any amount of days (minimum 7 nights in super high-season and 3 to 5 nights in other seasons). Nonetheless, please let us know your firm dates at your earliest convenience since the (super) high-season weeks are likely to be fully booked a long time in advance.
Do you have a crib and or high chair?
We have a package of a full-size crib with linen and a high chair available at $12.50 per night.
